Spring Training

Get a glimpse behind the blue curtain at Royals Spring Training

As we enter our 9th year as official healthcare provider of the Kansas City Royals, we are excited to welcome a new season! When the Royals take the field during Spring Training, we are there to conduct physicals, monitor injuries and help the athletes make the transition from off season to baseball season. Throughout spring training, regular season and postseason, every athlete in the Royals organization is backed by the Sports Medicine and Performance Center and The University of Kansas Health System.

Come behind the scenes with us at spring training as our physicians work to keep the champs in the game. We are proud to provide world-class care for the Royals on the field and the fans in the stands. We’re ready for 2019!

Showing up healthy, staying healthy

Royals spring training isn’t only about batting practice and exhibition games. The University of Kansas Health System conducts comprehensive physicals and evaluations for every athlete who takes the field. Our specialists in ophthalmology, ENT, cardiology, family medicine, primary care, sports medicine and orthopedics work to ensure players have a healthy transition into the season.
