New urgent care clinic opens at Sprint Center

Concerts, sports and other entertainment events have taken center stage at Sprint Center since its opening in 2007. Now, it is home to the first urgent care clinic inside the downtown loop – provided by The University of Kansas Hospital.

The clinic, located inside Sprint Center’s Grand Lobby and next to the College Basketball Experience at 1403 Grand Boulevard, offers convenient walk-in healthcare for those who work or live around downtown Kansas City. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“We’ve been part of Sprint Center from its beginning, taking care of athletes at its sporting events and the crowds at all events,” said Bob Page, president and chief executive officer of The University of Kansas Hospital.

“With Sprint Center as the catalyst, we see people from throughout the metro flocking downtown to live, work and play. They deserve access to basic healthcare close to their jobs and their homes,” said Page.

Sprint Center Urgent Care offers premier care for all patients older than six months of age to treat minor illnesses and injuries such as:
  • Asthma and allergies
  • Cold and flu symptoms
  • Cuts and scrapes
  • Rashes and burns
  • Sore throats, coughs, fever
  • Sprains and fractures
